Since its creation by Congress in 1939, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary (the Auxiliary) has served as the civilian, non-military, non-law enforcement component of the Coast Guard. Our Flotilla (Flotilla: 1300302) is located in Des Moines, WA. And has been in active service since 1962. Our volunteers do safety patrols from Narrows Bridge in Tacoma to the Southern tip of Blake island.
